The Authority of People with Disability (APD) organized a training program for the staff of comprehensive rehabilitation centers delivered by an international consulting firms specialized in the affairs of persons with disabilities and rehabilitation. The program aims to train comprehensive rehabilitation centers on discovering cases of disabilities, how to interact with persons with disabilities, and review global experiences in the field of disability. This comes as a part of the APD’s efforts in the national strategy for persons with disabilities, as preceded by a visit to the comprehensive rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to enhance the quality of services provided to persons with disabilities and identify their social and rehabilitation needs.
It is worth mentioning that the APD has organized many forums that contribute to empowering persons with disabilities and has delivered many training programs in various government sectors aiming to create an inclusive and equitable society.
