In a move that embodies its commitment to promoting inclusion and rights for people with disabilities, the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities participated in the World Health Forum 2024 as a key accessibility partner, which was held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center in Malham. The Authority was distinguished by an innovative pavilion that provided visitors to the exhibition with a comprehensive experience that included learning about various disability issues, and visitors participated in a unique interactive experience with sign language, which sparked widespread interest and raised awareness of the importance of inclusive communication.
The Authority’s participation in the exhibition came to achieve several goals, including ensuring that people with disabilities can easily access the forum, enhancing the services provided to them, and preparing all the exhibition facilities to be inclusive of all, which contributes to providing an integrated experience that meets the needs of all visitors.
As part of its ongoing efforts to support the rights of people with disabilities and improve their quality of life, the Authority signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Health Research Institute during the exhibition. These partnerships aim to enhance research and innovations that serve people with disabilities, and open new horizons for developing advanced health solutions and services that meet their needs
The Authority also contributed to enriching the forum through its participation in dialogue sessions that discussed the central issues related to empowering people with disabilities, and focused on ways to develop health and social services to ensure their integration and effectiveness. These sessions provided a platform to enhance dialogue between experts and specialists on the future of comprehensive healthcare.
